Special effort to preserve patient dignity and comfort throughout the journey. From the moment you walk into our well-appointed waiting room you will be greeted by our warm and professional staff.
During the examination you will be offered a clean robe in which to change into which preserves modesty but allow for perfect access to all skin surfaces to be examined.
We offer the following range of skin cancer medical services;
Skin checks- With the latest range of microscopes and magnified lighting technology and an eagle eye for detail, Dr Garnett will perform the most in depth and fastidious skin examination possible. Please remove all make up and nail polish to ensure adequate visualisation of all skin surfaces.
Photo surveillance is routine and a comprehensive and confidential photo library is kept on record as standard.
Spot check- expert examination, diagnosis and management options for any reason of particular concern
Skin excisions- Dr Garnett has advance surgical qualifications in obstetric and skin surgery, assisting local plastic surgeon, Dr Marcia Mickelburgh for over a decade during which he has benefitted from one on one training in advanced skin cancer surgery.
Topical therapy for appropriate pre-cancerous lesions and cancers with expert guidance advice and support these skin sparing techniques.
General dermatology- Having qualified from the Australian Institute of dermatology and worked for the Cairns Dermatology Department as their GP with a special interest in dermatology for a year, Dr Garnett is well positioned to provide advanced general skin medicine as a bridge to specialist appointments as required. Common conditions managed are psoriasis, eczema and acne.
Payment Considerations
Ellipse Skin Cancer Clinic is a private practice billing service, full payment is required on the day.
Medicare rebates apply. We use Medicare Easy claim, which allows the relatable portion of the bill to be instantly reimbursed to the debit card used once payment is processed.
